Seen by many as we what we would call a Supercar nowadays, the car featured a 427 cubic inch alloy V8 and in it, Jane drove his third ATCC crown in 1971, holding out Allan Moffat's Mustang in a thrilling finale at at Oran Park. Jane amassed 3 Round wins out of a possible 7, winning Round 3 at Sandown Raceway, Round 5 at Mallala Race Circuit and Round 7 at Oran Park Raceway.
Jane Finished the 1971 season with at total of 43 points overall,6 points ahead of Allan Moffat and 7 points ahead od Ian Geoghegan in 3rd place. Fearing a whitewash of the category, CAMS outlawed the huge engine for the following year and even with a 350 cubic inch motor, Jane won four of the eight rounds to take his fourth and final ATCC title.
